Privacy
We keep as little as the game needs, we never sell it, and you can have it removed.
Who we are
Last Light of Eremor is made by Marcelo Reis in Australia ("we"). For anything about your data, write to support@eremor.com.
What we keep, and why
- Your e-mail address (or mobile number, if you sign in with one): to send your sign-in codes, to tell you when a world opens to you, and to identify your account. Never shown to other players.
- The names you choose for your account and your heroes, which other players see in the game.
- Your age, asked once in the game, to decide whether the chat protections for younger players apply.
- Your heroes and what they do in the game: their progress, belongings and whereabouts, which is the game itself.
- Whether you asked for news by e-mail, and when.
- Technical records: when you signed in, how your connections went and the network quality of a session, kept 90 days to keep the game running well; and the reports you send with F8, kept while they help us fix what they describe.
- The network address a sign-in code is asked from, for at most a day, to stop abuse.
What we do not do
We do not sell or rent your data, we do not use advertising trackers, and the website sets no cookies. If we measure visits to the website, it is with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies and without following you elsewhere.
Who handles it for us
- Microsoft Azure hosts the game's servers, the accounts and the e-mail that carries your codes (Australia East).
- Cloudflare answers for the website's domain and, on the sign-up page, runs Turnstile, a check that you are a person.
Each processes data only to provide its service to us.
How long we keep it
Your account and heroes stay while your account exists. Connection and network records go after 90 days. A pending sign-in code expires in ten minutes. If you ask us to remove your account, we remove it and everything tied to it within 30 days, except what the law makes us keep.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we keep about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to remove it, or withdraw from news e-mails at any time (every news e-mail carries a way out, or just write to us). Write to support@eremor.com from your address. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, or to the data protection authority where you live.
Younger players
Players under 16 can play with protections on: chat is masked and world chat is off. We do not knowingly keep more about younger players than about anyone else.
Changes
When this policy changes we update the date above, and we tell you in the game or by e-mail if the change matters.
